Motivation in May
Do you ever feel more motivated when it turns into Spring? Flowers are growing, the earth is thawing and you find yourself outside more than ever, taking in as much fresh air as you can- it is rejuvenating! Now may be the time when you start researching what you will be doing when you leave school in June; looking at summer job postings, summer school and volunteer positions. If you are in your last year of high school, now may be a good time to finish up all your remaining community service hours.
In JPD this month, we are featuring articles directly from students who have experienced a co-op program while in school. From working in a medical emergency room to working at a summer camp, these students have learned a lot from their co-op programs. Getting involved in a co-op program can help you decide the career path you want to take once you are out of high school and beyond. If you are interested in a co-op program, contact your career counsellor at school and they will point you in the right direction. Or, you can simply research where you would like to go on the internet and reach out to that specific company or organisation- be adventurous!
Stay safe this month!
